Description of Program and Relief

Price Gouging Hotline and Complaint Form

The Missouri Office of the Attorney General provided a hotline and complaint form for any consumer to report complaints about “price gouging” regarding COVID-19 “necessities of life.”

The form asks specific questions relating to price points, if other sellers were also selling items at this price, where the incident occurred and if a sale took place. The questions are designed to aid the Officer of the Attorney General in investigating the complaint and it is encouraged to be as descriptive as possible.

Additionally, the Attorney General announced a partnership with Amazon to combat price gouging, using market analytics to identify bad actors.
