Notice of Extension of Expiration Dates for DMV-Issued Documents in Light of COVID-19
In light of COVID-19, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles have issued an automatic 90-day extension as of March 20, 2020 for expiring driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, and other DMV documents.

Effective as of March 20, 2020 for 90 days.
Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
Available for any DMV document that has an expiration date of March 16 through April 30, 2020, but this does not apply to vehicle liability insurance or SR-22 requirements, and motorists must maintain insurance coverage. The extension applies to all types of driver’s licenses and ID cards, vehicle registrations and movement permits, DMV business licenses, and Motor Carrier credentials.
