Description of Program and Relief

Partial Unemployment Benefits For Employees Whose Hours Have Been Reduced as a Result of the COVID-19 Pandemic

Employees who are still employed, but whose hours have been reduced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, may be eligible for partial unemployment insurance benefits under New Jersey law.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

To be eligible for partial unemployment benefits, the person cannot work more than 80% of the hours normally worked. Unemployment benefits provide up to 60% of average wages, with a maximum of $713/week (+ additional $600/week through July).
