Description of Program and Relief

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Assistance

The New Mexico WIC is a nutrition program for women, infants, and young children that provides nutrition and health education, healthy food, and other services. WIC’s goal is to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women, new moms, and kids under age 5 healthy. Although there is no specific guidance related to COVID-19, families may be eligible if they meet general income and asset limit eligibility requirements

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

WIC serves New Mexico residents who are pregnant; breastfeeding, up to baby’s first birthday; non-breastfeeding mothers, up to six months after baby’s birth; children under five years old. WIC clients must meet WIC income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional need. Interested applicants can check to see if they are eligible here.
