Description of Program and Relief

Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

WIC is a supplemental nutrition program for qualifying women, infants and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk. This program provides nutritious foods, health and nutrition information and education, breastfeeding support, and healthcare screenings. Although no specific guidance has been issued with respect to COVID-19, affected families may qualify if they meet eligibility requirements (below).

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must: (i) be a resident of the state of North Dakota; (ii) (a) be a pregnant, breastfeeding and/or postpartum woman; or (b) have an infant or child up to 5 years of age; (iii) be individually determined by a health professional to be at nutrition risk; and (iv) meet certain income requirements found here.
