Description of Program and Relief

Cleveland, Ohio – Rescheduling of Cleveland Housing Court Cases

The Cleveland Housing Court will begin rescheduling housing court cases for both criminal and civil proceedings.

For criminal cases, summons for rescheduled court dates will be sent beginning on June 16, 2020 to all defendant’s whose appearances require new dates.

For civil cases, all previously scheduled and cancelled forcible entry and detainer actions (i.e. evictions) will be set for virtual hearings beginning June 15, 2020 and all parties will receive notice of the rescheduled date via U.S. mail. New eviction actions, and all other civil matters, will be accepted for filing beginning June 15, 2020.
