Description of Program and Relief

Ohio Works First

Ohio Works First (OWF) is the financial assistance portion of Ohio’s Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program, providing time-limited assistance to eligible families. OWF provides cash benefits to eligible, needy families for up to 36 months. Although no specific guidance has issued with respect to COVID-19, affected families may qualify if they meet eligibility requirements (below).

Families with children that meet a “gross monthly income test” may be eligible. For the eligibility questionnaire, visit https://www.benefits.gov/benefit/1674.
