Description of Program and Relief

HealthSourceRI – COVID-19 Special Enrollment

A special enrollment period (“SEP”) is now available until April 15, 2020 for Rhode Islanders seeking health coverage as a response to the growth of COVID-19. Those completing an online application should indicate that they have experienced an "Other" SEP event and note COVID-19 or Coronavirus as the explanation. Coverage will begin on the first of the month following the application.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

To qualify for this special enrollment period extension, Rhode Islanders must currently not be insured or have experienced a life change, such as moving to the state, losing/changing jobs, or experiencing a change in income.
