Description of Program and Relief

COVID-19 Uninsured Testing Coverage

For the duration of the COVID-19 public health emergency, individuals without health insurance can qualify for free COVID-19 related diagnostic testing and related services through Utah Medicaid. The program will allow uninsured individuals, without regard to income or assets, to receive COVID-19 testing, serological tests to determine the presence of antibodies, and related services such as x-rays.

An application for the COVID-19 Uninsured Testing Coverage program will be treated as a full application for Medicaid and/or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) unless the individual opts out of these programs.
