Description of Program and Relief

Reach Up in Vermont (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)

Reach Up is an existing Vermont program that provides benefits to families, with children by providing cash assistance for basic needs and services that support work and self-sufficiency. The program provides case management (a process where a case manager will create a family development plan with an eligible family that maps out the family’s work goals and steps to achieve them and update the plan together as the family make progress) and monthly cash payments to help with necessities like food, clothing, housing and utilities.

Although no specific guidance has issued with respect to COVID-19, affected families may qualify if they meet eligibility requirements.
