Description of Program and Relief
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Assistance
WIC is a food assistance program for women, infants, and young children. WIC provides food assistance, nutrition counseling, parenting advice, breastfeeding support, and referrals to help families lead healthy lives. Although West Virginia has not outlined specific WIC guidance in light of COVID-19, women and children adversely impacted by COVID-19 should be eligible for WIC if they meet general eligibility requirements.
