AOL to Acquire TheHuffingtonPost.com
AOL Inc. entered into a definitive merger agreement with TheHuffingtonPost.com, Inc., an Internet newspaper company, to acquire TheHuffingtonPost.com by way of a merger for a purchase price of $315 million, payable in cash. Paul, Weiss represented Kenneth Lerer, the co-founder of TheHuffingtonPost.com. The transaction is expected to close in the next few weeks.
