Citigroup Sells Private Equity Portfolio to AXA

As reported in The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters, The Deal Pipeline and other media outlets, Paul, Weiss client Citigroup Inc. sold a $1.7 billion private equity portfolio to France's Axa Private Equity. The portfolio includes 207 limited partnership interests in private equity buyout funds and a portfolio of direct stakes in companies. The sale demonstrates the progress the Citi Holdings team is making in reducing non-core assets on their balance sheet.
