Paul, Weiss client Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia (MSPEA), one of the leading private equity investors in Asia, has agreed to make a US$100 million investment for a significant minority ownership stake in NASDAQ-listed China XD Plastics Company Limited, one of China's leading companies engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of modified plastics primarily for automotive applications.
Announced on August 15, the investment by MSPEA will help China XD Plastics to expand and further upgrade its production capabilities.
China XD Plastics is a Nevada corporation that went public through a "reverse merger" in 2008. The PIPE investment by MSPEA is subject to the approval of China XD Plastics' shareholders.
