Litigation partner Lew Clayton's Intellectual Property Litigation column appeared in the September 3 issue of the New York Law Journal. The article, "At Circuit, Internet Broadcasters Victorious in Licensing Fee Case," discusses the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit's August 2009 decision in Arista Records, LLC v. Launch Media Inc., which held that individualized internet radio stations need not pay more than a statutory licensing fee set by the Copyright Royalty Board. The article also discusses recent patent, copyright and trademark decisions. Litigation associate Gillian Sinnott assisted in the preparation of this column.
