Paul, Weiss Obtains Unemployment Insurance Benefits for Pro Bono Client

Paul, Weiss and the Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS) obtained unemployment insurance benefits for a client who was discharged because of his inability to complete tasks due to an injury he obtained during the course of his employment. Upon review, the New York State Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board found that our client's testimony that his employment was terminated was credible and overturned the initial determinations of the Department of Labor that he voluntarily separated from employment without good cause.
