Karen Dunn and Jessica Phillips to Discuss Charlottesville Trial With Hillary Clinton

Litigation partners Karen Dunn and Jessica Phillips will participate in a panel discussion moderated by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on No Accident, the HBO Original documentary that chronicles the landmark Charlottesville trial. The discussion, which will be followed by a screening of the film, will examine the questions raised by the case, and explore what more can be done to prevent and deter dangerous acts of extremism in the future.
No Accident, which premiered in October 2023, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the highs and lows of the four-year litigation in Sines v. Kessler, in which Karen and Jessica, alongside co-counsel, secured a landmark trial victory in 2021 on behalf of nine pro bono clients who were injured in the violence during the August 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The free event will take place in Washington, D.C., on February 23 at 5 p.m. ET.
