Paul, Weiss Settles Pro Bono Plaintiff's Procedural Due Process Claim

Paul, Weiss recently settled a client's claim that the City of New York seized the client's personal property during an arrest and then disposed of it without notifying him of the procedures he could follow to reclaim the property. The case was scheduled to be tried in the Southern District of New York. Paul, Weiss settled the case for 55 percent more than the client's previous settlement offer (rejected by the City) when he was proceeding pro se.

Associate Christopher Terranova prepared to try the case and negotiated the settlement. He was supervised by partner Michael Gertzman.
