Wendy's/Arby's Exploring Possible Sale of Arby's Unit
On January 20, the Wendy's/Arby's Group announced that it would explore "strategic alternatives" regarding its Arby's unit, which may include a possible sale of the unit in order for the company to focus on the Wendy's brand. In 2008, we represented Triarc Companies, Inc., the franchisor of Arby's, in its $2.3 billion acquisition of Wendy's, creating the nation's third-largest quick-service restaurant company.
